About the Owner of JB Jewelers

It's another beautiful day here in central Florida:)  My name is John Bready II.  I was named after my grandfather who was a great educated man with a Ph.D. from Temple University.  I was born in 1958. ( about a million years ago) :) I grew up in Feasterville, Pa which is northeast of Philly.  When I was a little kid, we had a 100-acre farm behind our neighborhood so we spent a lot of time exploring the creek and woods.  If you could not find us there, we were playing football or baseball in the summer.  Winter time meant hockey or screaming down a snowy slope on a sled or waxed car roof. LOL

I graduated from Neshaminy high school in 1976 and joined the Marine core in 1978. (Semper Fi) I did my basic training at the infamous Paris Island and what three months of fun that was :)  After boot camp, it was off to diesel mechanics school at Camp Johnson, NC.  From there, my first duty station was at Camp Pendleton, CA. Eight months into that I received orders to ship out to the rock for a year (Okinawa), a small island off the coast of Japan.  Quite a few of our brave military men lost their lives securing that piece of dirt in WWII.  From there it was back to North Carolina to Camp Lejune for my last two years before I was honorably discharged in January 1982.

I moved to Orlando after I got out of the Marines and have been here ever since.  I started working for a local jeweler here in Orlando who sent me to school for diamond setting and repairs.  I worked for them for about two years and during that time I went to school with GIA and got my degree’s. I spent the next couple years doing diamond setting and custom work for a few local jewelers before I started JB Jewelers in July of 1989.

I have a customer at the door so more to come later…………..

All the best, JB
